I've always thought there is a real art to being a great server, and those who make the grade don't really get recognition like they should. Usually we get these knucklehead servers.

Comment on Where does Superman change?

The local stores are different, shopping is different--whereas I still go to Walmart for toothpaste and batteries, I am now shopping online for most of my needs. So, you're right Dave--we will need the postal service to deliver our goods--it's already happening!

Comment on iPad could ruin my iLife

seriously you need to get an IPad,I hav 1& lov it. When traveling it is the best,so light weight and has a bunch of free apps & really good ones. It is a wee bit heavier then the Kindle but it does so much more. The only thing that I am not to crazy about is that is has no Adobe Reader so some things don't play. But all the positives out weigh any negatives. Oh and by the way we bought our 3 yr old granddaughter has one and she loves hers too. IPAD is a must in my opinion, but u know what they say about those! I've lost many an iron because they won't stay permanently perched on the ironing board where I leave them--someone always bumps the board and they end up broken. You need a wife to look after you-a 50's wife who doesn't mind the domestic stuff--but good luck finding one!

Comment on Sweating it out

Such a sweet blog. FB IS a waste of time, 'til you (ok, I) learn to wean myself of any games or distractions. It's been GREAT for getting in touch with LOOOOONG lost friends (three in particular) that I'd been unable to find by ANY other means (short of private investigator) until FB came around. (Darn those married names!) I think about dropping my FB time, but for now, I'm just learning to (kind of) control myself, thereby freeing myself up for my previous TimeSuck - the blogosphere. ;)
